Our Goal
To organize local residents impacted by Canadian National Railway (CN) operations, especially those threatened by property damage, devaluation, or displacement. The group aims to protect neighborhoods, demand accountability, and push for regulatory or legal intervention.
Purpose and Mission
We are a grassroots group of Barrington, IL residents united to protect our homes, community, and environment from the destructive impacts of Canadian National Railway (CN) operations.
Key objectives:
- Reduction of trains’ speed limit to 25 miles per hour (mph) by the Federal Railroad Administration (RFA) https://railroads.dot.gov/
- Stop further properties’ deterioration.
- Demand community consultation and transparency.
- Obtain legal recourse.
- Seek fair compensation for damage already occurred.

Who Can Sign This Petition?
You do not have to be Barrington, IL resident to sign this petition. We are petitioning a federal agency, and any US citizen or permanent resident who is 18 years old or older can sign. Please Help us today!
We plan to submit a petition to the Village Board, County Officials, the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), and the Canadian National Railway (CN) to immediately reduce the train speed limit to 25 mph at and near the crossing #260 515D, located at IL Route 59 (Hough Street) in Barrington, IL.
